first_imgThe Nokia 9 PureView is finally official at MWC 2019 in Barcelona. After months of speculations, leaks and renders, HMD Global has confirmed that the Nokia 9 PureView is indeed the world’s first smartphone to come with a penta-camera system. The Nokia 9 PureView is being touted by the company as the most advanced computational photography in a phone. As a premium flagship, not only does the Nokia 9 PureView boast of multiple cameras, but it also brings a curved glass design and a flagship-level Snapdragon 845 chipset at its core.Nokia 9 PureView price and availabilityThe Nokia 9 PureView has been launched at a Global Average Price of USD 699 (approx Rs 50,000). The Nokia 9 PureView will start shipping in March in selected markets. As of now, the company has not mentioned the India availability of the Nokia 9 PureView. Interestingly, the Nokia 9 PureView comes at a similar price point of the Nokia 8 Sirocco from last year. The Nokia 8 Sirocco was launched at Rs 49,999 in India, so we may see the Nokia 9 PureView reach the market with a similar price tag.Nokia 9 PureView specificationsThe five camera setup on the back of the Nokia 9 PureView is arguably the biggest highlight here. The barrel-shaped camera system includes five camera sensors, LED flash and laser autofocus. All five cameras offer 12MP f/1.8 sensors, three of which come with monochrome lenses while two offer RGB lenses. Notably, all five Zeiss-branded cameras shoot simultaneously at different exposure levels, and the images are then stitched together to offer superior detail. With the ability to shoot five simultaneous shots at the same time, the Nokia 9 PureView can offer data between 60MP to 240MP. Moreover, each sensor can capture 2.9x more light, which means the camera system can allow up to 10x more light in a picture. This essentially means you can expect some good low-light performance as well. The phone also comes pre-loaded with Adobe Lightroom where you can tweak the raw photos. Google Photos has been enhanced to allow you to adjust background blur after taking the shot. The camera app gets a next-gen Pro Camera UI that increases the shutter to 10 seconds.advertisementThe Nokia 9 PureView sports a 5.99-inch 2K pOLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. HMD has decided to offer symmetrical bezels on the top and bottom rather than a notched or a punch-hole display that is the current trends. The flagship is powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Nokia 9 PureView comes with a premium design language that combines a Series 6000 aluminium along with a 3D curved Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The flagship also supports wireless charging and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Nokia 9 PureView comes with Android Pie and is of course part of the Android One program.last_img read more
