Lenovo has started rolling out the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its budget A7000 phablet. The over-the-air (OTA) update for the phone with build number A7000-a_S153_151127_ROW_TO_A7000-a_S223_160405_ROW is now live and available in phases, which means not everyone will be getting it at the same time.Measuring in at about 1.3GB, the new Android 6.0 update for the A7000 also includes the Android security patch for the month of March. Users can also manually check for the availability of the update by heading over to Settings > About Phone > System Update.The new update will bring key Marshmallow standouts to the A7000 including revamped app permissions, Now on Tap, improved RAM and battery management features along with Google’s new Doze functionality. It would be interesting to see how Vibe UI (Lenovo’s custom skin) looks and feels on top of Android 6.0. This is now the second phone from the Chinese manufacturer to get the Marshmallow update. Only recently, the K3 Note (another budget phablet from the company) started receiving the new update.The A7000 is as 5.5-inch HD phone which is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6752 processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory which is further expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card.advertisementThe dualSIM phone sports an 8-megapixel camera on the rear with autofocus and dualLED flash.
