World Council of Churches begins its platinum anniversary with celebration…

The general secretary of the council, the Rev. Olav Fykse Tveit, preached in one of the oldest Protestant churches in China Sunday – Chongwenmen Church in Beijing – on the theme “Jesus Christ, the Joy of the World.”  And he took with him a message of greeting from what the council describes as “the living fellowship with 348 member churches worldwide.”Read the entire article here. Netanyahu hires ex-Breitbart journalist as campaign chief

first_imgJERUSALEM (AP) — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has named Aaron Klein, a former journalist with the right-wing Breitbart news site, as his campaign chief for March 23 national elections. Klein, who has served as a political strategist to Netanyahu since last year, confirmed his new appointment to The Associated Press on Wednesday. The news was first reported in Israeli media. Klein is a former Jerusalem bureau chief for Breitbart News and was appointed to the post by its executive chairman at the time, Steve Bannon. Klein also has written a number of books that questioned Barack Obama’s fitness for the presidency.last_img
