Social campaign asks people to donate towards a child’s trip for a freebie of their own

first_img Lets Travel has launched a campaign with Apples & Pears to give disadvantaged children in London a day trip that gives donors a free trip out of their own.Lets Travel for Children is asking Londoners through social media to #paywhatyoucan to give less travelled primary school children in the city a trip to Stratford on Avon. In return, donors will be offered a day trip to Brighton or Oxford, Blenheim & Bicester Village courtesy of Lets Travel on the 19th November.Donations as small as £5 will secure a place on one of the days out, while all money raised will go towards funding a trip for up to 700 children with Lets Travel covering the rest of the balance for the children’s trip.The campaign is being promoted via the hashtag #paywhatyoucan, and directs donors to a microsite.
