Two of the targets here is to increase the overall study of chemistry and physics for leaving certificate by 20% and the number of females taking these subjects for leaving certificates by 40%.“It was very encouraging that a large number of the students participating in SciFest at LIT were female.“Furthermore, I very much welcome the LIT initiative to provide free Leaving Certificates revision  seminars in the STEM related subjects of Chemistry and Maths.“I wish to complement the co-ordinator of [email protected], Marie Walsh and her team on hosting this great science exhibition.” Senator O’Donnell concluded.More about politics here.
