first_img Exchange continues popular onion sale The onions are priced the same as last year. A 10-pound bag is $12 and a 25-pound bag is $25.The Vidalia Onion Sale has been the major fundraiser for the Troy Exchange Club for nearly 20 years.The club was considering selling Georgia’s popular sweet onion but the club members questioned whether people would buy-in. The club asked Troy University to conduct a study to determine if people would buy 10 to 25 pounds of bagged onions. The club’s annual Vidalia Onion Sale funds its annual A.C.E.  Awards and the “Tip” Colley Awards and supports the club’s National Day of Prayer Breakfast. The  Troy Exchange Club also supports the Pike Regional Advocacy Center. So those who purchase bags of arguably the best onions grown also support the Troy community in several ways.
