first_img View post tag: STM Pakistan Navy fleet tanker PNS Moawin completes first sea trials Authorities View post tag: Pakistan Navy View post tag: PNS Moawin Share this article Back to overview,Home naval-today Pakistan Navy fleet tanker PNS Moawin completes first sea trials The Pakistan Navy’s new fleet tanker has completed its first set of sea trials in the Indian Ocean, Turkey’s STM – the company in charge of designing the vessel – announced earlier this month.According to STM, the PNS Moawin – as the tanker is named – carried out the trials in March this year.Built by Pakistan’s Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW) at Karachi Shipyard, the tanker is 158.40 meters long and displaces approximately 16,400 tons.Aboard the PNFT for its first cruise were the crew and Karachi Shipyard personnel, as well as 30 personnel from STM and a number of representatives of other Turkish companies.The ship was launched in August 2016 and is set to undergo further trials before entering service later in 2018.
