September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. According to the Red Cross, more than 15,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year. Many of these patients will need blood as they undergo treatment. (WBNG) — The American Red Cross, Security Mutual Life Insurance and non-profit Sock Out Cancer have teamed up for a blood drive. The blood drive will be held at Traditions at the Glen Hotel and Spa at 4101 Watson Blvd. in Johnson City from noon to 6 p.m. on Sept. 9.
